Mina Rahravan

Our CEO of Experience Mina Rahravan

Mina Rahravan was born and raised amidst war in a country where women and girls have been, and continue to be, denied human rights simply because of their gender.

In the pursuit of her dreams, Mina immigrated to Canada 20 years ago, determined to be a force for good by becoming a police officer and peace keeper in 2009. Her passion for making a difference in people’s life, has inspired her to achieve her master’s degree in leadership, to author two books and to learn to communicate in numerous languages. Along with English, she speaks Farsi, Spanish and French.

As an officer, Mina has been the recipient of numerous awards: Women Achievers Awards, William Grant Physical Fitness Award, Malala Yousofzai Award, Public Heroes Award, Women’s Hero Award, Serving with Pride Visibility Award, the Herbert H. Carnegie Community Award, to name a few.

She was selected by the US State Department in 2014 for the coveted International Visitors Leadership Program. As the only Canadian police officer, she was delegated to the U.S., promoting diversity, human rights and inclusiveness.

Mina took her passion to the sky by becoming the first tactical female Tactical Flight Officer serving the citizens of York Region by patrolling the skies in the police helicopter Air2 and served as a sergeant in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau.

She has completed her Master’s Degree in Leadership from University of Guelph and has authored two books, including her latest book, “Be Exceptional.”

Mina’s goal is to make a positive difference in the world and to inspire others to make change in the world for a more inclusive and equitable place for all.
